I’ve just finished uploading the final studio projects from the first year graduate studio I taught at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. You can see them here. There’s some really impressive work in there for first time architecture projects, way better than what I was doing when I started school.
I’m almost finished archiving the work from last semesters studio at U. Penn. The above image is one of Joshua Stone’s amazing final drawings.
The final review for the studio I’m teaching at the University of Pennsylvania will be on Tuesday, December 11th at 2pm [ Meyerson, 4th floor Hall ]. The Jury will include:
A review for my Exploding Plastic Inevitable studio at Penn Design will be held in the Lower Gallery of Meyerson on Monday, the 22nd, at 215pm. The Jury will include Ali Rahim, Winka Dubbeldam, David Boira, Zoe Coombes, Stella Lee, Peter Zuspan, and Dylan Baker Rice.
I’ll be giving a lecture today at The University of Pennsylvania on the reciprocal relationships between technique and form.
We will have our first review for the studio I’m teaching at U Penn tomorrow. The jury should include:
Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss
Here's the brief for the design studio I'm teaching this semester at The University of Pennsylvania School of Design:
Exploding Plastic Inevitable
Architecture ostensibly operates to accommodate known functions; a set of programs and economies that validate and enable its spatial and formal capacities. But what exactly are these functions and what are their properties? Are there other architectural performances, or moreover, performative architectures, that open up cultural, political, as well as affective opportunities in the physical world?
I’ve just been appointed as a Lecturer in the Graduate Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. I’ll be teaching first year graduate studios along side Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss, Jenny Sabin, Julie Beckman, and Rhett Russo.
